What is “Donate a Wheelchair”?
It's a way to fund a wheelchair, support chair or mobility aid for someone who cannot afford one. Your donation is matched to a real, verified beneficiary and delivered through Frido's network of NGO and hospital partners.
Who do these donations help?
Elderly people with mobility loss, adults living with physical disability, children with cerebral palsy or developmental disabilities, and the family caregivers who support them every day. We also invite donations for army veterans and para-athletes.
How is a beneficiary selected?
Beneficiaries are identified and vetted by our onboarded NGO and hospital partners, who work directly with the communities they serve. Frido does not select beneficiaries independently — we rely on our partners' on-ground assessment.
How much does it cost to donate a wheelchair or aid?
Donation pricing is lower than the price listed online for the same product — Frido absorbs the difference, because this is work we genuinely want to be part of. Share your details through the form and our team will confirm the exact amount for the aid you'd like to sponsor.
Can I choose exactly what I want to donate?
Yes. Browse our categories and products, pick the aid you'd like to fund, and mention it when you get in touch — we'll confirm pricing and match it to a beneficiary who needs exactly that.
How do I pay for my donation?
Once you share your details through the form, our team will reach out with the confirmed amount and guide you through the payment process.
Is my donation eligible for a tax deduction?
Yes, individual and HNI donations are eligible for a tax deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Our team will guide you through your receipt when they reach out after you submit the form.
How will I know my donation actually reached someone?
Once the aid is delivered, we share confirmation with you — including a photo of the beneficiary receiving the gifted product, along with your message card, so you can see your donation reach them.
What happens to the message I write for the beneficiary?
Your message is delivered along with the donated aid, on a card that carries your name. Where the family wishes, it's read aloud to them at the time of delivery, and many families keep it after.
Can I donate anonymously?
Yes. Let us know when you get in touch if you'd prefer your name isn't shared with the beneficiary, and we'll honour that.
Can this be part of our company's CSR programme?
Yes — this is one of the core ways companies and PSUs partner with Frido under CSR. Use the “Donate as a company” option in the form to share your details, and our CSR & Government Partnerships team will get in touch with a tailored proposal.
